Indiana High School Basketball - Linton-Stockton nips North Daviess
January 20, 2023: Linton, IN 47441 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Linton-Stockton Miners (Linton, IN) and the visiting North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN), saw Linton-Stockton's basketball squad hold off North Daviess by a tally of 47-45.
With the victory, Linton-Stockton improves its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Owen Valley (Spencer, IN) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Owen Valley won 64-54 in their recent non-league challenge against White River Valley (Switz City, IN)
Next up, the Cougars play the Barr-Reeve Vikings (Montgomery, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. North Daviess will attempt to improve on its 13-3 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 60-37 league win over Wood Memorial (Oakland City, IN).
