The Giles Spartans basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Grayson County Blue Devils to 29 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Chiswell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Giles will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 53-47 non-league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-9.

The Blue Devils (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Auburn (Riner, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Auburn was defeated by George Wythe (Wytheville, VA), 41-15, in a non-league contest.
