The Knoch Knights basketball team (Saxonburg, PA), was nudged 48-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA)

The River Hawks now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plum for a WPIAL 5A 2 battle on Wednesday, January 24. Armstrong will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 79-55 non-league loss to Northgate (Pittsburgh, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-9.

The Knights (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Kiski Area edged Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA), 39-36, in a league battle.
