Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Knoch can't hold off Freeport
January 26, 2024: Saxonburg, PA 16056 The Freeport Yellowjackets basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Knoch Knights to 55 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Friday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highlands for a WPIAL 4A 1 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Freeport will battle a Golden Rams team coming off a 61-59 league win over Hampton (Allison Park, PA). The Golden Rams record now stands at 10-5.
The Knights (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA). The Golden Lions come into the WPIAL 4A 1 contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Greensburg Salem edged Indiana (Indiana, PA), 59-50, in a league contest.
