Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Marin Catholic Wildcats (Kentfield, CA), 56-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedmont upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Highlanders host Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA) to play the Dragons in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout on Thursday, January 25. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 13-6.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Branson Bulls (Ross, CA) in a Marin County bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Marin Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Bulls go into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 86-66 non-league win over Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA).
