Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) and the host Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), saw Melrose's basketball squad overcome Ruidoso by a tally of 59-42.

With the victory, Melrose improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Texico (Texico, NM) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Texico lost 43-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM)

Next up, the Warriors confront the Portales Rams (Portales, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Ruidoso will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record.
