Illinois High School Basketball - Polo can't hold off Scales Mound

January 20, 2024: Polo, IL 61064

The Scales Mound Hornets basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Polo Marcos to 61 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to River Ridge for a Northwest Upstate Illini - West contest on Wednesday, January 24.

The Marcos (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Steamers enter the Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Fulton was nudged by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 59-38, in a non-league contest.
