The Scales Mound Hornets basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Dakota Indians to 42 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Beloit for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 14. Scales Mound will meet a Sobos team coming off a 88-43 league win over Schaumburg Christian (Schaumburg, IL). The Sobos record now stands at 7-1.

The Indians (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Warren (Warren, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Warren was routed by Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL), 60-46, in a non-league contest.
