January 20, 2024: Eveleth, MN 55734 The Pequot Lakes Patriots basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines to 64 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Patriots now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crosby-Ironton for a AA Section 7 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Pequot Lakes will meet a Rangers team coming off a 86-31 league win over Aitkin (Aitkin, MN). The Rangers record now stands at 12-5.
The Wolverines (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Denfeld (Duluth, MN). The Hunters enter the AAA Section 7 contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Denfeld was nudged by Duluth East (Duluth, MN), 70-12, in a non-league contest.
