Arkansas High School Basketball - Rivercrest triumphant over Armorel
January 20, 2025: Armorel, AR 72310 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) and the host Armorel Tigers (Armorel, AR), observed Rivercrest's basketball team overwhelm Armorel by a score of 57-30.
The Colts (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Newport (Newport, AR). The Greyhounds come into the 3A Region 3 challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Newport was routed by Osceola (Osceola, AR), 92-63, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 21. Armorel will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 60-18 league win over KIPP Blytheville (Blytheville, AR).
