In Friday's league outing, the Haverford Fords (Havertown, PA) basketball squad edged the host Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA), by a margin of 45-44.

The Fords (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA). The Aces go into the Central outing with a 13-2 record. In their last outing, Lower Merion held off William Allen (Allentown, PA), 79-69, in a non-league outing.
