Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Dell Rapids Quarriers (Dell Rapids, SD), 57-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sioux Valley upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Cossacks host DeSmet (DeSmet, SD) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 25. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-1. DeSmet won 48-45 in their recent league bout against Castlewood (Castlewood, SD)

Next up, the Quarriers clash with the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 22. Dell Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 55-46 non-league loss to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA).
