Connecticut High School Basketball - Canton nips Coventry
January 21, 2023: Canton, CT 06019 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Canton Warriors (Canton, CT) and the visiting Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT), saw Canton's basketball squad hold off Coventry by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Canton improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT) to play the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Northwestern Regional won 70-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Pomperaug (Southbury, CT)
Next up, the Patriots play the Suffield Wildcats (West Suffield, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Coventry will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 68-58 league win over East Windsor (East Windsor, CT).
