Alaska High School Basketball - Houston fells Sitka
January 21, 2023: Big Lake, AK 99652 Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK), 59-43 in a league bout.
With the win, Houston upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK) to clash with the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. Grace Christian won 53-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Heritage Christian (Northridge, CA)
Next up, the Wolves play the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves (Sitka, AK) in a 3A Eastern challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Sitka will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 70-21 league win over Redington (Wasilla, AK).
