The Sandy Creek Cougars basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Thayer Central Titans to 41 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairbury for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Sandy Creek will battle a Jeffs team coming off a 48-33 non-league loss to Sutton (Sutton, NE). The Jeffs record now stands at 6-9.

The Titans (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Tri County (DeWitt, NE). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Tri County edged Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE), 61-48, in a non-league contest.
