The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV) and the host Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV), observed Churchill County's basketball team overwhelm Sage Ridge by a score of 67-20.

The Greenwave (12-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Elko (Elko, NV). The Indians come into the 3A Northern - East challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, Elko was routed by Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV), 48-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Scorpions encounter the Excel Christian Warriors (Sparks, NV) in a 1A West challenge, on Friday, January 24. Sage Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 74-41 league loss to Smith Valley (Smith, NV).
