The Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO) basketball edged the host Overland Trailblazers (Aurora, CO), 61-57 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Arapahoe for a 6A/5A Centennial bout on Friday, January 23. Mullen will play a Warriors team coming off a 63-50 league loss to Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO). The Warriors record now stands at 5-9.

With the defeat, Overland moves to 6-8 on the season. The Trailblazers travel to Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO) to clash with the Bruins in a 6A/5A Centennial test on Friday, January 23. The Bruins come into the test with a record of 10-3. Cherry Creek won 62-49 in their recent league test against Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO)
