The Montgomery County Eagles basketball team (Mt. Vernon, GA), dropped 71-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Calvary Day Cavaliers (Savannah, GA)

The Cavaliers now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Savannah Country Day for a A Region 3A battle on Friday, January 23. Calvary Day will confront a Hornets team coming off a 53-29 non-league loss to Paideia (Atlanta, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-13.

The Eagles (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Wheeler County (Alamo, GA). The Bulldogs come into the A Region 3B battle with a 1-15 record. In their last battle, Wheeler County dropped by Treutlen (Soperton, GA), 78-53, in a league battle.
