In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Smith Center Redmen basketball team scored a good 51-34 triumph over the Russell Broncos.

In their next game, the Redmen meet the Hill City Ringnecks (Hill City, KS) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 25. Smith Center will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Ringnecks enter the match with a 3-8 record after their 44-39 non-league loss to Norton (Norton, KS).
