January 22, 2024: Winfield, WV 25213 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) and the host Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV), saw Elkins's basketball squad overcome Winfield by a tally of 48-39.
With the victory, Elkins improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV) to play the Bees in a Big Ten challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Bees come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. East Fairmont won 60-44 in their recent league challenge against Preston (Kingwood, WV)
Next up, the Generals play the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) in a Cardinal challenge, on Friday, January 26. Winfield will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 76-75 league win over Scott (Madison, WV).
