Minnesota High School Basketball - Grand Rapids nips Duluth East
January 22, 2024: Duluth, MN 55804 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks (Grand Rapids, MN) and the host Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN), saw Grand Rapids's basketball squad hold off Duluth East by a tally of 60-56.
With the victory, Grand Rapids improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Thunderhawks host Proctor (Proctor, MN) to play the Rails in a AA Section 7 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Rails come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Proctor lost 56-50 in their recent league challenge against Marshall (Duluth, MN)
Next up, the Greyhounds play the Bemidji Lumberjacks (Bemidji, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Duluth East will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 50-28 league loss to Brainerd (Brainerd, MN).
