Ohio High School Basketball - Mayfield trounces West Geauga
January 22, 2024: Mayfield, OH 44143 The Mayfield Wildcats (Mayfield, OH) basketball crushed the visiting West Geauga Wolverines (Chesterland, OH), 74-49 in Monday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Riverside (Painesville, OH). The Beavers go into the Western Reserve test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Riverside walloped Chardon (Chardon, OH), 52-35, in a league test.
The Wolverines now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hawken for a Chagrin Valley - Chagrin test on Wednesday, January 24. West Geauga will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 61-9 non-league loss to Western Reserve Academy (Hudson, OH). The Hawks record now stands at 2-11.
