Vermont High School Basketball - Montpelier overwhelms Harwood

The Montpelier Solons basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Harwood Highlanders to 39 in the Solons league triumph on Wednesday.

The Solons now have a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Peoples Academy for a Capital game on Friday, January 24. Montpelier will confront a Wolves team coming off a 60-49 non-league loss to Lamoille (Hyde Park, VT). The Wolves record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Harwood falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT) to confront the Vikings in a Capital game on Friday, January 24. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 6-5. Lyndon Institute won 60-49 in their recent non-league game against Hazen (Hardwick, VT)
