Illinois High School Basketball - Decatur Lutheran tops Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon
January 23, 2023: Farmer City, IL Decatur Lutheran Lions (Decatur, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon (Farmer City, IL), 44-36 in a league bout.
With the victory, Decatur Lutheran upgrades its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Lions host Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL) to play the Bombers in a Lincoln Prairie bout on Thursday, January 26. The Bombers come into the bout with a record of 3-17. Argenta-Oreana lost 55-16 in their recent non-league bout against Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL)
Next up, the play the Villa Grove Blue Devils (Villa Grove, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL).
