Georgia High School Basketball - Benedictine overwhelms Islands

January 23, 2024: Savannah, GA 31406

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA) and the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), saw Benedictine's basketball squad wallop Islands by a count of 79-51.

With the victory, Benedictine upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cadets host Burke County (Waynesboro, GA) to play the Bears in a AAAA Region 3 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 15-4. Burke County won 76-58 in their recent league challenge against Wayne County (Jesup, GA)

Next up, the Sharks play the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (Brooklet, GA) in a AAAA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Islands will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 49-41 league loss to New Hampstead (Savannah, GA).
