Georgia High School Basketball - Benedictine topples Islands

January 5, 2024: Savannah, GA 31410

In Friday's league outing, the Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA) basketball squad beat the host Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), by a count of 68-49.

The Cadets (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears go into the AAAA Region 3 outing with a 12-2 record. In their last outing, Burke County defeated Screven County (Sylvania, GA), 67-50, in a non-league outing.

The Sharks now hold a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Metter for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 6. Islands will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 62-26 non-league loss to Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-5.
