January 23, 2024: St. Joseph, MO 64504 The Benton Cardinals basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting St. Michael the Archangel Guardians to 63 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winnetonka for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Benton will battle a Griffins team coming off a 64-63 league loss to Platte County (Platte City, MO). The Griffins record now stands at 12-3.
The Guardians (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pembroke Hill (Kansas City, MO). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Pembroke Hill prevailed over KIPP Legacy (Kansas City, MO), 59-51, in a non-league contest.
