Florida High School Basketball - Tocoi Creek tops Clay
January 23, 2024: Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 Tocoi Creek Toros (St. Augustine, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Clay Blue Devils (Green Cove Springs, FL), 55-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Tocoi Creek upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Toros host Bartram Trail (St. Johns, FL) to play the Bears in a 7A District 1 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Bartram Trail lost 79-48 in their recent non-league bout against Ponte Vedra (Ponte Vedra, FL)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Ridgeview Panthers (Orange Park, FL) in a 5A District 2 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Clay will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 2-18 record after their 76-34 non-league loss to Orange Park (Orange Park, FL).
