January 23, 2024: Oakland, ME 04963 The Messalonskee Eagles basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Mt. Blue Cougars to 47 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brewer for a A North contest on Thursday, January 25. Messalonskee will battle a Witches team coming off a 59-46 league loss to Hampden (Hampden, ME). The Witches record now stands at 4-9.
The Cougars (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gardiner (Gardiner, ME). The Tigers enter the A North contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Gardiner was defeated by Lawrence (Fairfield, ME), 65-64, in a league contest.
