Cedar Reds (Cedar City, UT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Dixie Flyers (St. George, UT), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cedar upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Reds host Hurricane (Hurricane, UT) to play the Tigers in a 4A Region 9 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 10-7. Hurricane won 47-41 in their recent league bout against Pine View (St. George, UT)

Next up, the Flyers play the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs (Washington, UT) in a 4A Region 9 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Dixie will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 53-44 league loss to Pine View (St. George, UT).
