The Mattawan Wildcats basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Central Bearcats to 46 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norrix for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Mattawan will battle a Knights team coming off a 47-43 non-league win over Portage Northern (Portage, MI). The Knights record now stands at 5-5.

The Bearcats (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI). The Maroon Giants enter the Southwestern Michigan - East contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Kalamazoo Central was nudged by Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI), 71-53, in a non-league contest.
