South Dakota High School Basketball - Waubay/Summit sneaks past Aberdeen Christian
January 23, 2025: Waubay, SD 57273 The Waubay/Summit Mustangs (Waubay, SD) basketball edged the visiting Aberdeen Christian Knights (Aberdeen, SD), 43-41 in Thursday's league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Warner for a B Region 1 bout on Friday, January 31. Waubay/Summit will play a Monarchs team coming off a 53-33 non-league loss to Britton-Hecla (Britton, SD). The Monarchs record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Aberdeen Christian falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Knights host Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Herreid/Selby lost 51-34 in their recent non-league bout against Strasburg/Zeeland (Strasburg, ND)
