In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets basketball team scored a close 44-43 triumph over the Ridgeland Titans.

The Rockets (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS). The Gators go into the 6A Region 2 contest with a 12-8 record.

In their next game, the Titans confront the Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS) in a 6A Region 2 contest, on Friday, January 24. Ridgeland will attempt to advance on its 9-13 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 2-16 record after their 66-23 league loss to Callaway (Jackson, MS).
