Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Loyalton Grizzlies (Loyalton, CA) and the visiting Portola Tigers (Portola, CA), saw Loyalton's basketball squad overcome Portola by a tally of 87-68.

With the victory, Loyalton improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 26. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Sierra Lutheran lost 61-22 in their recent league challenge against Sage Ridge (Reno, NV)

The Tigers now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton for a Mountain Valley test on Tuesday, January 25. Portola will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 75-32 league win over Biggs (Biggs, CA). The Braves record now stands at 11-5.
