Massachusetts High School Basketball - Arlington over Melrose
January 24, 2023: Arlington, MA 02476 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Arlington Spy Ponders (Arlington, MA) and the visiting Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA), saw Arlington's basketball squad overcome Melrose by a tally of 66-49.
With the victory, Arlington improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Spy Ponders travel to South (Worcester, MA) to confront the Colonials in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Colonials come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. South won 73-58 in their recent non-league challenge against University Park (Worcester, MA)
Next up, the Red Raiders confront the Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA) in a Middlesex challenge, on Friday, January 27. Melrose will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 77-58 league loss to Lexington (Lexington, MA).
