January 24, 2023: Steubenville, OH 43952 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Catholic Central Crusaders (Steubenville, OH) and the visiting Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH), saw Catholic Central's basketball squad overcome Frontier by a tally of 48-37.
With the victory, Catholic Central improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH) to confront the Zeps in a Ohio Valley AA challenge on Friday, January 27. The Zeps come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Shenandoah lost 54-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Beallsville Blue Devils (Beallsville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Frontier will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 59-54 league win over Valley (Pine Grove, WV).
