New York High School Basketball - Indian River overwhelmed by Watertown
January 24, 2023: Philadelphia, NY 13673 The Watertown Cyclones basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Indian River Warriors to 43 in the Cyclones league victory on Tuesday.
The Cyclones now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cortland for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Watertown will battle a Purple Tigers team coming off a 42-39 league loss to Public Service Leadership Academy (Syracuse, NY). The Purple Tigers record now stands at 4-9.
The Warriors (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lowville (Lowville, NY). The Red Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Lowville triumphed over South Lewis (Turin, NY), 74-29, in a non-league contest.
