The Stanton Buffaloes basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Kermit Yellow Jackets to 22 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alpine for a 3A Region I District 4 contest on Friday, January 27. Stanton will meet a Bucks team coming off a 73-58 league win over Crane (Crane, TX). The Bucks record now stands at 13-10.

The Yellow Jackets (11-17) will now prepare for their contest against Tornillo (Tornillo, TX). The Coyotes enter the 3A Region I District 4 contest with a 24-1 record. In their last contest, Tornillo ran past El Paso Leadership Academy East (El Paso, TX), 81-33, in a non-league contest.
