The Nueces Canyon Panthers basketball team (Barksdale, TX), was nudged 57-54 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Medina Bobcats (Medina, TX)

The Bobcats now possess a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Knippa for a 1A Region IV District 31 battle on Saturday, January 28. Medina will battle a Crushers team coming off a 48-41 league loss to Leakey (Leakey, TX). The Crushers record now stands at 9-15.

The Panthers (3-13) will now prepare for their battle against Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX). The Angoras come into the 1A Region IV District 31 battle with a 21-4 record. In their last battle, Rocksprings edged Utopia (Utopia, TX), 66-31, in a league battle.
