The Fairbury Jeffs basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Sandy Creek Cougars to 27 in the Jeffs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Jeffs now sport a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson County Central for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Fairbury will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 29-19 league loss to Freeman (Adams, NE). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 5-12.

The Cougars (3-14) will now prepare for their match against Sutton (Sutton, NE). The Mustangs enter the non-league match with a 6-10 record. In their last match, Sutton lost by Milford (Milford, NE), 39-27, in a non-league match.
