South Dakota High School Basketball - Beresford overwhelms Canton
January 24, 2025: Beresford, SD 57004 The Beresford Watchdogs basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Canton C-Hawks to 38 in the Watchdogs league triumph on Friday.
The Watchdogs now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Irene/Wakonda for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. Beresford will confront a Eagles team coming off a 49-40 league loss to Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
With the loss, Canton falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The C-hawks travel to Tri-Valley (Colton, SD) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 3-7. Tri-Valley lost 88-56 in their recent non-league game against Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD)
