Iowa High School Basketball - Maquoketa Valley holds off Springville
January 24, 2025: Delhi, IA 52223 The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Springville Orioles to 43 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Edgewood-Colesburg for a Tri-Rivers game on Tuesday, January 28. Maquoketa Valley will confront a Vikings team coming off a 48-47 league loss to East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, Springville falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Orioles host Starmont (Arlington, IA) to confront the Stars in a Tri-Rivers game on Tuesday, January 28. The Stars go into the game with a record of 6-10. Starmont lost 72-40 in their recent league game against Alburnett (Alburnett, IA)
