The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) and the visiting Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), observed Palo Verde Valley's basketball team knock off Southwest EC by a score of 71-63.

The Yellow Jackets (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Brawley (Brawley, CA). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 15-8 record. In their last challenge, Brawley prevailed over Holtville (Holtville, CA), 79-52, in a league challenge.
