The Southwest EC Eagles basketball squad (El Centro, CA), was nudged 53-48 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA)

With the victory, Palo Verde Valley advances its record to 6-11 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Brawley (Brawley, CA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 12-8. Brawley won 72-47 in their recent league battle against Holtville (Holtville, CA)

The Eagles now own a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Imperial for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 15. Southwest EC will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 63-42 non-league win over San Ysidro (San Diego, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-7.
