California High School Basketball - Weed thwarts Trinity

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) and the host Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA), observed Weed's basketball team knock off Trinity by a score of 72-59.

The Cougars (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Etna (Etna, CA). The Lions come into the Shasta Cascade challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, Etna dropped by Modoc (Alturas, CA), 42-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves encounter the Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA) in a Shasta Cascade challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Trinity will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 65-43 league loss to Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA).
