In Tuesday's league match, the host South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored a decisive 77-49 triumph over the Berry Cardinal.

In their next game, the Sabres meet the Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 27. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 10-5 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 4-13 record after their 83-61 league loss to Chambers (Charlotte, NC).
