Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 68-67 in a league bout.

With the victory, Berry improves its record to 1-6 on the campaign. The Cardinal travel to Harding University (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Rams in a 4A Conference 49 challenge on Friday, December 17. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Harding University lost 57-54 in their recent league challenge against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Sabres confront the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Conference 49 challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. South Mecklenburg will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record.
