The Monroe Central Seminoles basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Shenandoah Zeps to 45 in the Seminoles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Seminoles now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magnolia for a Ohio Valley AAA contest on Thursday, January 27. Monroe Central will battle a Blue Eagles team coming off a 91-45 non-league win over Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV). The Blue Eagles record now stands at 4-6.

The Zeps (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Shadyside (Shadyside, OH). The Tigers enter the Ohio Valley AA contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Shadyside ran past Bellaire (Bellaire, OH), 75-57, in a non-league contest.
