The Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 24-20 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Nighthawks (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Panthers go into the Southwest - Colonial test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Masuk was tipped by Pomperaug (Southbury, CT), 58-38, in a league test.
