Illinois High School Basketball - Nazareth Academy fells Downers Grove South
January 25, 2023: LaGrange Park, IL 60526 Nazareth Academy Roadrunners (LaGrange Park, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL), 67-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Nazareth Academy upgrades its record to 8-14 on the season. The Roadrunners host Benet Academy (Lisle, IL) to clash with the Redwings in a East Suburban Catholic bout on Friday, January 27. The Redwings go into the bout with a record of 22-1. Benet Academy won 67-53 in their recent non-league bout against Kenwood (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL) in a West Suburban - Gold bout, on Friday, January 27. Downers Grove South will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 64-58 league win over Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL).
